Business Coaching
Business Coaching with Dr. Rob Faw
Business coaching is for the owner. The founder, the CEO of a privately held company, the leader who carries the whole organization on their shoulders. Rob works with business owners on the full scope of what running a business actually requires: strategy, growth, capital, leadership, team performance, and the personal discipline it takes to lead at the top for the long haul.
The work is tailored to the business and the owner. Some clients come for help on a specific challenge: a growth inflection, a capital raise, a leadership transition, a strategic pivot. Others want a steady thinking partner across years, someone who has sat in the seat and understands what it costs to lead a company. Whatever the entry point, the coaching addresses both the business and the person running it. The two are inseparable.
Two convictions shape every engagement. Leadership is behavior, not position. And there is no alternative to personal and professional growth. Business owners who hold those convictions tend to build companies that hold up. Those who don't tend to plateau.
Owner. Operator. Coach.
Rob has spent forty years building and leading businesses at scale. As a chief executive of private and publicly traded companies, he has scaled operations in more than 50 countries and across industries ranging from communications and software to real estate, technology, and Fortune 50 partnerships. He has navigated growth inflections, led capital raises, restructured organizations, and built high-performing teams that delivered in dynamic and challenging environments. The work produced triple-digit revenue growth and hundreds of millions in capital raised across private equity, venture capital, and public markets.
That operating record is the foundation, but it's only part of why owners hire him. Rob holds a PhD in organizational leadership from Liberty University, a master's in global leadership from the University of San Diego, and a board certification as a master coach. He is the founder of Catalyst Network, a community of more than 500 leaders growing together, and the author of multiple books on leadership and value creation. He combines what he has built with what he has studied, and brings both to every client conversation.
Rob also works with mission-driven organizations, including nonprofits and faith-based ministries. The fundamentals of building a sustainable, well-led organization apply whether the bottom line is revenue or impact. Business owners and nonprofit leaders alike have found in Rob a coach who understands both the discipline of running an enterprise and the deeper purpose that makes the work worth doing.
The first conversation
Every coaching engagement begins with a conversation. No commitment, no sales pitch, just a chance for both of us to determine whether the chemistry, the timing, and the fit are right for the work ahead. Business coaching is a serious relationship, often lasting six months to a year or more, and it deserves a serious first call. The best engagements start when both coach and client know the match is right before any work begins.
If you're a business owner, founder, or nonprofit leader looking for a thinking partner who has done the work and understands the stakes, reach out. Tell Rob a bit about your business, where you are, and what you're hoping coaching could help you do. The first call is typically thirty to forty-five minutes by phone or video. You'll learn how Rob works and what an engagement looks like. Rob will learn enough about your business to know whether he's the right coach for the work ahead.
The work is real, the standard is high, and the expectations are mutual. Coaching with Rob is for owners and leaders who are ready to be honest about where they are, clear about where they want to go, and willing to put in the daily work that closes the gap. If you're ready to engage at that level, Rob is ready to talk. Email rob@robfaw.com or use the contact form to start the conversation.
